MYO-8860: Ayano

Ayano was told to sit and wait outside the room while Timothy made his way inside, shutting the ornate wooden door behind him. The bun wrapped the sheer white cloth around himself a little tighter, feeling nervous about the events to come. The vampire hadn’t told him much about why he was even here; it seemed that talking and asking questions was neither of their strong suits. The morgue was cold. The past few hours had felt like a dream. Ayano drifted between conscious and unconscious, dream and reality. They couldn’t quite tell what was real and what a product of a pill-induced haze. After being rushed from their hospital room to the operating room, the doctors haphazardly brought Ayano to the basement morgue. He wasn’t quite sure why - he was still alive, despite the doctors saying that Dr. Nishizono had failed his attempt to use the defibrillator....

Sometimes, the doctor would lift Ayano from his hospital bed and place him in a wheelchair. They enjoyed the company, but even more enjoyed looking out of the hospital windows, gazing out upon the bustling city that lay just beyond the hill. It was a beautiful place, and Ayano often wondered what life would be like outside of the pristine, bleach-stained walls of Burrowgatory Hill Hospital.  But, perhaps they would never know.  Because they were dying.  ...
