Rikki is Pepper's superior and second favorite bun. Despite knowing that Rikki is an idiot, Pepper genuinely looks up to him and wants to be praised by him.

It's not an uncommon occurrence for Pepper to sneak into Rikki's room at night to cuddle with him.

Lavish

            Owner/Boss  37

Lavi is Pepper's owner as well as his boss and is his favorite bun in all of Burrowgatory. Pepper started out as a stray taken in by Lavi and after some time began to willingly work for him.

Despite his reverence for Lavi, Pepper does do things that Lavi would disapprove of in secret, such as drinking beer.

 Story

 Childhood

As a baby bun Pepper was very weak and didn't have any friends due to his bad attitude. Thanks to this, under Gremory's neglectful care, he was an easy target for bullying and grew up miserable and wary of others. By the time he was old enough to return to Burrowgatory he'd become very bitter and developed a hatred for demonkind.

Rather than enjoy his newfound freedom himself, he chose to dedicate his time to ensuring that other buns couldn't enjoy theirs. His early days in Burrowgatory were mostly spent harassing the priests and disciples of the Church of Sulfur. He caused many headaches before he was finally apprehended by Mercy and brought to meet with a certain bun. On that day he met Lavish and his life changed for the better.

 Life at the Hotel

Under Lavi's ownership and care Pepper was treated as a VIP guest at the Lavish Hotel. He was given his own room on the highest floor and was allowed to do whatever he pleased. Having never had a place to truly call his own before, his room soon became his safe haven and he shut himself inside. Lavi made it a point to visit him regularly to ensure that he knew he was wanted and wouldn't be lonely. During these visits Lavi would occasionally bring his husband Rikki as well who would perform card tricks for the two of them. Life continued on this way for nearly an entire year before Pepper finally found the strength to leave his room. He began to accompany Lavi everywhere he went and soon appointed himself as Lavi's personal attendant.

 Present Day

Little by little with Lavi's encouragement his world is beginning to open up. He's gaining the strength and confidence needed to become more independent. As he explores Burrowgatory at his own pace with love and support behind him he learns that there is kindness in the world. And with every bit of kindness that he receives he learns how to be just a little bit kinder.
