Her Den of Solitude

Fatima stood in the middle of the Church of Sulfur, adorned in the official Nun Habits in her doll form, tail swaying gently as she looked around.
At this time of day it was mostly empty. Everyone was either in their rooms or working somewhere else with just the janitors present.
The walls were made of brick and the floor was made of polished stone tile.
There were stained glass windows on either side of the church, depicting images of what the succubun had imagined Murmur to look like in a sequence showing the story of how much he cared for each and every one.
The pews were made of wood and red cushions and under each pew was a rectangle rug woven together.
Between the windows were the symbols of the church, made with black iron.
Moving further in, Fatima made her way towards the podium where a larger, bronze statue of Murmur with his arm outstretched, a smile on his face had been erected.
Upon the podium sat the Book of Sinful Indulgence, and right under it was the shelf where the pitcher and glasses of water were kept in case the priests got thirsty during their sermons.
With a soft smile on her face, Fatima ran her fingers over the book before continuing on through the chapel and towards her room.

Fatima stood in the doorway of her room, which looked like a decently sized room with red painted walls and a comfortable canopy bed with black curtains placed against the wall facing the door.
The bed itself looked to be twin sized with a wooden bed frame and headboard, placed directly on the ground and across from the bed .
The floor of the room was made of smooth and polished stone as was the church itself.
In the middle of the room was a round red, white, and golden woven rug with the symbol of the church in the middle of it in black.
Over the bed was another symbol of the church made with what Fatima could tell was black metal and in another corner of the room across from the doorway was a shrine with the statue of a male demon with his arm outstretched and a smile on his face, made of what she assumed to be bronze.
Sitting upon Fatima’s bed were two plush dolls. Well three plush dolls, the third was laying on her pillow. The first plush doll looked to be the succubun form of the head priest Oleander. The second was modeled after the bronze statue that sat upon the altar and the last one also looked like a demon but different from the one that was supposed to depict Murmur.
The features on the third doll looked to be someone with pale skin, blonde hair, red eyes, and the identifiable horns and tail.

Fatima sighed as she made her way over to the bed and sat down, grabbing the doll in her hands and running her fingers over it, before flopping backwards onto the bed, head hitting the fluffy pillow, long red hair splayed out over it.
Covering the bed itself were the typical bed sheets along with two pillows that looked the same.
The young woman rolled over onto her side, still holding the doll as she stared at the wooden dresser tucked into another corner of the room with a small pile of books placed on top of it.
Beside those books lay a rosary and a necklace with that same symbol of the church hanging from it and right next to said dresser was a window that opened towards the city.

As Fatima laid on her bed, a soft sigh escaped her lips as she closed her eyes. There was just something about the peacefulness of the Church that made it her favorite place. Granted that her house was just as peaceful but there was just something different about the church that couldn’t put her finger on.
Perhaps it was because she could hear the sermons that Oleander gave from her room? Or maybe it was because of the atmosphere itself? It could also be because of how everybody was treated equally there. Even though it was the same everywhere else in Burrowgatory.
With her brows furrowed in thought, Fatima realized that her room in the church was her favorite place because,
“No one can find me here.”
That’s right. Nobody from her job knew she worked here or if they did they never bothered to come here to look for her.
They would always just go to her house if they wanted to talk to her or take her out somewhere but at the church, the only buns who knew she was here was Oleander, Mercy, and the other priests and nuns.
And even then they didn’t bother her unless they needed her for something or, Oleander was insatiably horny and nobody wanted to help him.

With that sudden realization in mind, Fatima wondered if it was weird to enjoy the solitude of a simple room in a church since many other buns’ favorite places would be outside or in their houses or somewhere they enjoyed doing work.
Either way, if it was weird she was honestly glad for her somewhat hidden paradise.
“And I wouldn’t be changing that anytime soon.”

Is it weird to imagine that Fatima's favorite place in Burrowgatory is  the Church of Sulfur?
