[January] [JAN] Goal Setting

Q: What’s your new year’s resolution?

A: Why, to accomplish more goals of mine, of course!

Klaude had posted the answer in his online blog without much thought, but truth be told, he actually had no idea how many goals he was able to accomplish last year, as his thoughts often changed so quickly that even he was not able to chronicle everything in his archive. He also couldn’t confidently say that all of the goals written here were actually “accomplished”, with some being easy way outs or others he just completely gave up on. Not that he minded those, but man, it made it hard to actually put a number so that he could actually brag truthfully. There was always lying, but where was the accomplishment? The ego? The pizzazz?

Unfortunately, Klaude was a bun that had principles. It also didn’t help that he was so enamored by the way one of the books went about goal-setting. It was a self-help text, or something like that, from mythical creatures that didn’t seem to indulge in vices as much as they should. Where was the fun in that? But he had to hand it to them that their logic made things interesting and challenging. Cheating, of course, was always an option, but after a couple of months doing that, the bun found that there was no real sense of achievement from raking imaginary numbers.

From his doll form, Klaude switched back to something a little more squishy and tiny once he was lying in bed, ruminating. It made his head hurt a little. Thoughts were hard! He was also not much of a thinker, but he was greedy. He would figure something out.

He sat up.

“I got it.”

He grinned from ear to ear before propping himself up, jumping off the bed, and then hobbling to his swivel chair while switching to his doll form. His paws were too stubby and clumsy for a keyboard. “I should just drag another bun with me!”

It was perfect. Not only could he show off to someone that wasn’t a screen, he could have someone to actually judge if he accomplished the goal or not, and basically just having another bun around in his adventures seemed fun. A partner in crime, if you will. Also if he was in the mood to have some fucking related goals, it was already easier to have someone on hand rather than having to go to the brothels. He would have to pay for those too! Yes, two corvats with one mochi, it seemed like!

Now there was just the problem of having to find someone…

Maybe that could be his first goal of the year? To find someone he could drag into his fun? That seemed good. He would write it down in his blog before the feeling left him and he decided to do something else. However, knowing Klaude, he would probably forget about his excitement of finding someone else in a week’s time or even less, as he had the attention span of a recently matured bun.

At some point, I probably should get Klaude a partner so that he wouldn't be so lonely (and a loose canon).
