[January] No Cute, Only Sexy

Tiffie carefully picked her way through a rack of hangers. No more would she just be the cute girl in the corner; a new year meant she could try again to stand out. She needed more oomph, more pizzazz, she needed to drip with sex appeal and confidence and draw in attention!

...Well, maybe she could pass on the attention for now. But she definitely wanted to aim more for sexy this year than the cuteness of the past. Back when she first ordered her favorite outfit, she thought it would look sexier on her than it does. It showed skin – a lot of skin. Access was easy around it. She still absolutely loved it, but it didn't really hit the sexy mark like it was supposed to.

'Why does it just scream cute? Is it the color? The bows? The ribbons?' She held up a frilly pink number, staring at it with a pout of concentration. Sexy should have been easy to hit, she usually recognized sexy when she saw it after all, but perhaps that was the issue. It was hard to build a sexy outfit without actually understanding what made it that way conceptually. 'I guess my understanding is more instinctual, which doesn't help when I have to pick something out...is it the accessories? The fabric?'

She hung the scrap of fabric back on the rack. It was frilly – frilly was probably cute, too. Was pink cute? After some consideration, she decided to try checking in the red section instead. Pink and white were her favorite color combo, but reds were known for drawing buns in.

On her way to the racks draped in red fabric, she spied a crimson teddy hanging in clear view. Intricate, soft lace formed the front, continuing onto the sides over supple fabric with a delicate shine. The edges had a contrasting ribbon weaving in and out parallel to them – currently in place was black ribbon, but she could see an identical one hanging nearby which had white ribbon instead. She plucked it off of the rack, eyeballing it. Maybe this one would work?

She held it up in front of herself in front of the mirror. It looked like it might be sexy? She tapped her hoof quietly as she turned around a bit, examining and imagining and thinking.

'I'll give it a try...it should work!' Confidence bloomed in her chest. 'Now I just need some matching stockings and a ribbon for my choker...'

By the time she had checked out with all of her items and made it home, she was practically bouncing. She was so eager to try it all on and see the full ensemble! She didn't even make it to her room before she was removing her clothes and tugging on new fabric.

Deliciously soft? Check.

Form fitting? Check.

Red? Check.

Plenty of lace? Absolutely check.

Sexy? ….hm.

She struck a pose in front of her mirror, examining her new outfit. After a few moments of examination, she began to slowly deflate a bit. Still more cute than sexy, but this time it didn't even seem like it fit her colors well... With a sigh, she sat on her bed. This wouldn't be the right one either. Maybe red hadn't been the way to go, she probably got a little too excited in the store and got ahead of herself.

She wasn't giving up yet, though! She'd still get there this year, even if it wasn't immediately. She'd just need to find someone who understands the concept of sexy to explain it to her.

Now, who to ask...

...but maybe just cute instead. Tiffie tries to get sexier clothes for the new year! Pity she doesn't really know how to hit that angle.
