Imp Care 101

Zephyr is walking his Impup to The Imporium since he doesn't exactly know the do's and don'ts of taking care of an Imp, let alone the one that's rather hyperactive like the Impup he owns that he named Clifford. He enters The Imporium and sees none other than Hutch is taking care of the other Imps that are in the shop. Zephyr greets Hutch while unclipping the leash from Clifford so he can play with the other Imps in the meantime. Zephyr begins to ask Hutch about how to take care of an Imp properly and what he should avoid.

Zephyr takes a seat and gets his notebook out once Hutch explains that Imps don't exactly need food, water, and sleep to survive but sugary food has an odd effect on them which is changing how they appear. Zephyr stops taking note for a moment because he has been feeding his Impup a bunch of sweets that he makes back home and now just realized why Clifford always want to go to the dango shop whenever he's taking them out on evening walk almost everyday, he decided to not tell Hutch about that slightly bad habit of his for now.

Zephyr gets Clifford when Hutch decides to teach the bright-colored bun how to take care of an Imp properly, especially as rambunctious as an Impup. It's not as bad as both buns expected just that the Impup is childishly angry from being bathed by Zephyr with Hutch's guidance. Zephyr did make fun of Clifford because they look funny when they're soaking wet from the bath until Clifford decided to shake their little body to get rid of the water, also at the same time getting both Zephyr and Hutch wet from the water that was on the Imp's small body.

Zephyr does give Clifford a small treat of chocolate for being a good Imp that doesn't try to escape the grooming tub when he bathes them. He listen to Hutch on how to properly dry an Imp but Clifford has other idea, that idea is that they refuse to wear the happy hoodie on and now Zephyr has to try to blow dry his Imp at using the lowest setting because he knows damn well that Clifford hates it when he use the vacuum to clean the apartment. Clifford looks smug while Hutch is sort of holding back Zephyr from scolding the Imp.

Getting Clifford's fur trimmed is actually the second easiest step in this whole pet grooming steps that Hutch is teaching Zephyr, mainly because Zephyr can easily bribe Clifford using sweet treats to keep the Impup stay still, and doesn't whine throughout the entire ordeal. Hutch does mention that giving treats to encourage good behaviour is good but seeing how Clifford is a bit food motivated, Hutch suggests that Zephyr should cut back on the sweets slightly to make sure that the Impup won't do any negative behaviours when Zephyr accidentally gives the Impup some of his sweet snacks.

The easiest step is letting Clifford pick any accessories from the shop while Zephyr is taking notes on how often an Imp can get sweet treats from Hutch, given that he is the Imp expert in Burrowgatory. Clifford walks back to Zephyr with their tail wagging, pushing a bright red collar with their head. Zephyr pays for the collar before putting it on Clifford, at least now he doesn't have to poke any dark spots in his apartment in case he accidentally steps on his little Imp who can easily blend with almost any dark corners of the apartment.
