[Blind Date] Perfect Beginning
Adam had only little time between his meet and greets with fans and his concerts. But the time he did have off, he got lonely. Of course, it wasn't like he wasn't looking. He was. But it seemed he was a little picky.
Another night of scrolling when he saw her. He inhaled softly. Shit she was hot. His ears twitched excitedly. How fun. He swiped to match with her, and when she matched back, he immediately went to chat with her.
He had another concert to attend, but at night, he'd chat and flirt with her. Until he was finally free again.
He dropped her name of a really high-class restaurant and a time to meet him. Hopefully, their date went well. He'd really like to kiss her pretty face.
It was a period of rest for Eve, her crops had been harvested after a long growing season, and now she was giving her land a chance to breath and relax before she started the next round of planting. It was only a few weeks but she needed the break, and maybe if she was lucky she would find someone to entertain her during that time.
Except she didnt like going out by herself, and why would she go out to drink when she could get twice as drunk at home for a fraction of the cost?? Which left her with only one other option, a dating site. At first she was only gettinng creeps and scammers, until she eventually got a notification from someone matching with her, and god was he hot.
Oh man, this has to be a scam." She whispered to herself but after a few days of harmless flirting and talking he invited her out to dinner, and she couldnt find a reason to say no. If he didnt show up she would just leave, and if he did show up then she got to eat some expensive ass food with a hot guy! So she spent the day getting ready, making sure her skin was extra soft and her hair was clean, put on a black dress that hugged every curve and some heels then went to hopefully meet him at the restaurant.
And he was there! He arrived just a tad early to make sure there table was ready, but he waited at the front for her. He had to make sure she didnt walk in and leave then be like 'oh I didnt find you'. Cant let that happen.
He glanced at his phone screen to look at the time for a moment, holding his breath everytime the door opened until she finally arrived. And damn did she clean up beautifully. Most of her pictures were her on her farm so he wasnt sure if she had nice clothes. If she hadnt he would have taken her else where, cant let her embarrass herself. But he shifted and waved his hand. "Hey, Eve, right?" He shifted and walked over to her.
Eve walked into the restaurant, rubbing her arm nervously until a giant ass man walked up to her and said her name. Goddamn he was big- she looked up at him and inhaled softly, much prettier in person too.
"Adam?" She smiled a little and stared up at him.
He smiled and nodded. "Yep, thats my name, feel free to wear it out." He purred softly. Holding out his arm for her. "Ready to eat?"
She reached out to take hold of his arm and nodded "Of course I am." She had even skipped lunch just for this date.
He smiled and then went to lead her off to the table. He had already ordered them some wine. Only the best.
Once at the table she sat down, taking a sip of the wine then smiling at Adam
"I'm glad you asked me out."
"Oh yeah? I was kinda nervous that you were gonna ask me for money first." He snorted.
She chuckled softly "Well I don't need your money so why would I ask for it?"
"Cause its mostly sugar babies on dating sites." He looked over the menu for a few minutes.
"If I wanted a sugar daddy I would've gone to a sugar daddy site."
"Yeah thats true." He shrugged some. "You are much more beautiful in person if I may say so."
She blushed a little and smiled "Yeah? You're a lot taller in real life."
He laughed softly. "Yeah, I get that alot, most think I'm shorter but once they see me there confused."
"I mean you said you were tall, and your profile also confirmed that I've just never met anyone as tall as you so I didn't know what to expect."
"Yeah, I get that alot." He laughed. "Most people think I'm lying." He took a long drink of his wine. "So, what do you do for fun?"
She chuckled softly and sipped her wine again "I'm a farmer, I don't really have much fun. Sometimes Ill go out and see a movie or something but I've only got a few weeks out of the year when I'm not working."
He laughed with amusement. "Same! I'm usually traveling around doing concerts and meet and greets though."
"That sounds like a lot more fun than spending all day in the sun. You get to meet new people and see cool stuff."
"If you want, one day I can take you to one of my concerts." He tilted his head, waving his hand at the waiter to order his usual but double it. She didnt seem the type to come to this restaurant so he'd surprise her with a dish.
"That sounds fun, I've never been to a concert before." She smiled excitedly
"Yeah? Well, then I'll blow your mind with your first then." He laughed. "You're okay with loud noises right?"
"Yeah of course, and I can buy some ear plugs before hand just in case."
"Good, it can be loud, especially when its just the guitar riffs." He chuckled softly. "So, do you like working on a farm?"
"It can be a bit stressful but yeah I enjoy it." She nodded a little
"As long as you have fun." He chuckled softly, clicking his tongue softly.
"As much fun as one can have on a farm. I've got lots of pets that help me out though and they amuse me so it's not that bad."
"Ah, that makes sense." He smiled and leaned his head against his hands. "Murmur, you're so fucking beautiful."
She blushed a little and smiled "You're pretty handsome yourself."
"Yeah?" He smiled. "Glad, you think so."
"Like I was pretty sure you were a catfish at first but I'm glad I took the chance."
He snorted. "Yeah, I understand that. Most think I'm a catfish."
"it's not everyday you see a rockstar on a dating site without it being a catfish."
He thought for a moment before nodding. "Yeah you got me there." He laughed.
"But I'm glad I took the chance, I could've missed out on a lot of fun." She smiled
"Oh yeah, you're about to have the best night, you won't forget." He clicked his tongue.
"You think so? I'll hold you to that." She chuckled softly and leaned her head on her hand
"Oh, I know so." He chuckled softly. Though after they got their food, he happily ate, just chatting with her. Just getting next to know each other. It was nice not having to pretend for the sake of cameras and fans. Though it was odd, she wasn't a fan of his.
She didn't typically listen to his genre of music, so the only reason she knew he was famous was because she googled him before their date, gotta fact check his profile and whatnot. She was just happy to eat some really good food, and have a good conversation with a hot guy.
It was nice. Once they were done eating, he led her outside before stopping in front of his truck. "So, you wanna continue this date or--?"
She followed him out of the restaurant lowkey ready for a food coma, but looked up at him and smiled happily "Oh there's more? I would love to continue the date."
"Yeah, of course, just going out to eat is so boring." He snorted softly. "We can take my truck, and I can always bring you back if you have a car?"
Eve thought for a moment before agreeing to come back to her car, after all it's not like they would be out all night.
Their conversations were soft and amused, something in them just clicked, the silence that occasionally fell between them. He took her around to his favorite spots, to watch wild imps, or just to sit and admire the glittery crystals that scattered across the land, lighting up the ground. It was a pretty peaceful night.
But by the end of the night he took her back to her car, the saddened goodbye but a promise to text each other later, Adam shifted to turn to get back to his truck before feeling her grab his arm pulling him back and down, a soft kiss pressed to his lips, inhaling softly. What a perfect ending to their date. The softest kiss.
Once they parted Adam stared at her for a long time, a sparkle in his eye. “We gotta do this again.” He joked softly.
Eve covered her mouth and giggled softly. “Yeah we do,” shifting she opened her car door and slipped inside, waving goodbye and disappearing down the road.
Adam exhaled softly as he watched her eventually getting into his truck and heading home himself.
