Hàoyú raises a brow at him but slowly polishes back his precious egghel's shell as if not wanting to listen. Kazahana sighed and pulled the brush back from his sceil after it fell asleep.

"So I was wondering if..."

"No."

Kazahana blinks. "Huh?"

"No. Don't." Hàoyú gave off a stern glare as he set Lu down on the pillow to cross his arms.

Kazahana looks away and back at his face before he speaks in a slow yet careful tone. "...I didn't finish my words."

"Whatever you say, I do not allow it. No, I am not interested and I have standards."

It took a moment before Kazahana let out a disgusted face and threw the brush at Hàoyú's head. The brush just hits his horn painfully earning a sharp groan from the grey-furred succubun.

"Fuck off! I was talking about the chocolates! There is a nearby shop that is giving a fuck ton of discounts for it because of the month!"

"Ohhh... okay."

"Sheesh, are you insane?! What are you thinking of you dumb shit?" Kazahana cursed and set down his sceil towards a nearby makeshift nest on a table. "But come on, we shouldn't be late or something. What if they have no stock left?"

"There are many chocolates by the street stalls anyways." Hàoyú said as he smiled softly and gently patted Kazahana's candyl. "Go and get some rest, we will be back."

The candyl made a small wobbly dancy before slithering off towards a corner to avoid having its wick to burn something.

Hàoyú and Kazahana prepared to leave, the former grabbing his pouch of carats to bring while the latter grabbed his favorite ball. With that, they left the temple to check on the nearby dessert stores for them to grab a bite or two at a discounted price.

The walks are a bit long for both of them, they would see a few succubuns and cherubuns roaming around to do their business. They stopped by a building sandwiched between two larger buildings with a cute sign and a few chocolate displays at the front behind a glass wall.

"Hàoyú! Look at these!" Kazahana called to the slow-walking succubun as he patted the glass wall with his hand. "These chocolate cookies look good!"

"Judging from the looks and presentation, I say they are quite expensive for us to afford," Hàoyú stated as he sighed. "but I guess a little bit of a price check is necessary to assess if we can get these or not."

"Don't be stingy! You are richer anyway according to my friend." Said Kazahana as he nudged his elbow towards Hàoyú's belly, his tail was wagging while his spirits were twisting around as he skipped into the store.

A few minutes passed by and Kazahana left the store with sad and weak steps, he sobbed uncontrollably while he just slumped on the sidewalk flailing his limbs around like a young bun in a tantrum.

"THEY ARE TOO MUCH!!!" He screamed at the pavement as Hàoyú was the last to leave between them from the store, his hands behind his back.

"I do have to say... they quite have shocking prices even in a discount." Hàoyú admitted while sighing sadly.

"They have so much good shit though!"

Hàoyú rolled his eyes and nodded, his tail swishing slowly behind him. "I can tell."

The black-furred succubun punches the ground a few times before Hàoyú softly kicks his side to get his attention.

"Cheer up, we might be getting better offers at the other store. That shop owner is just too greedy for their good."

Kazahana just gives him a sassy look before talking back to him.

"They are greedy succubuns like us, of course they will charge more. Captain obvious."

The grey succubun just rolled his eyes and chuckled.

Until he chucked a paper bag on to Kazahana's face and began to walk off with a chuckle of his own.

"Pff! What the fuck man?!" Kazahana yelled before he just watched Hàoyú leaving him, heading to the direction to the temple. "Why did that bastard- huh?"

He perks up, looks down at the paperbag, and checks the contents. His eyes twinkled in surprise as his mouth sputtered in shock.

"W-what the..."

His eyes feasted upon the sight of a sealed box of chocolates that he took notice of from the display case of the shop. The cute appearance of the chocolates like the bun-shaped, imp-shaped, and flower-shaped chocolates filled his gaze and he couldn't help but welled up with tears of awe and joy.

Kazahana's lips trembled as he excitedly pulled out the box from the bag and ripped open the seal. He then pops one of the chocolates in his mouth which he immediately gushes in the sweetness.

"GAAAAHHH THIS IS AMAZING!!!" He yelled out at the top of his lungs as he lay back down on the pavement. A few succubuns took notice of him until they later decided to leave him alone to mind their own business.

He popped in another piece of chocolate, beaming happily as he chewed and savored the sweet treat.

Out of the corner of his eye, Hàoyú is standing behind a light pole with his arms crossed. He smiles a bit when he sees Kazahana is not crying anymore but at least he is not genuinely annoyed that Kazahana is not making a bigger scene.

With a small scoff of pride, he muttered to himself.

"1600 carats gone to a fucking fool."
