Sweets for Blood

Ginger was holding her Hubby's hand as they were making sure he was very brave through out the entire process of getting their blood drawn, its not that he was afraid of drawing it or seeing it but he hates being needles! Knives? fun, skewers? good for food, but sewing needles or syringes? they have no right to be so tiny and stabby and it unnerves him greatly as She patted his head as the little blue bunny was strapped down as per request while they get the blood from him.

He really would cause a commotion if not for it as the medical bun told the couple that they were all good to go now "Shh hubby, the needle is being put away properly and look band-aid!" she pointed to the little circle patch on his arm now covering where he got poked making him smug all of a sudden. Ginger loved her stupid husband as they snuggled him better before taking him by the paw and leading him outside.

With blood draws and donations comes free snacks! or there were supposed to be but seeing how busy everyone was they couldn't buy the supply due to time and restraints so instead they asked for a very familiar face aka it's Dan the dango seller and he had come to greet them from his table to buy some really good sweets with a very very VERY tiny discount for donating blood to the drive. Ginger stared at all the flavors they had on display so far "Whaaat? Can't you give us a little more of a discount? After all the blood I had to shed for this donations I think it's well earned" Dan just stared at him with a look of [Who the heck is this clown?].

Hubby was going to kick up a fuss but his wife's sweet words soothed him a bit as they asked if they had anything new to try out, maybe something seasonal even? The dark blue bunny was going to say more but with the calming of his wife he just stood there puffing his cheeks out while they talked about sweets to help out the other.

"We do have this new mochi it's made with black licorice" he said showing off the new mochi and Ginger drooled over it but Hubby was being grumpy about the pricing again, her paw touched his face saying he didn't get to argue he's recovering from blood withdrawal "But ging-" no buts! she patted his face a few times and shushed him repeatedly until he stopped talking before asking Dan to wrap up two of his new mochi then one rosewater mochi and one glittery mochi.

He boxed them for the couple and she paid since hubby was kicking up a fuss about the prices despite the discount "Make sure to stuff it in his mouth" he huffed out a bit annoyed at the other while Ginger began to press a rosewater mochi into her hubby's mouth "For the blood sugar?" he gave a slow blink "yeah....that..." it was not for the blood sugar but more to shut him up at least that's what it showed on his face as he watched the couple a bit. Ginger's feeding of Hubby got him to finally quiet down as he ate the rosy delight "For a sour bun you sure do make sweet treats".

He gets that a lot but his pride won't allow for any less than perfection on his craft as Hubby felt better now that he had some treats in his system, he could do without the black licorice mochi though, it was a bit too strong for his taste "Ok well I'm going to need a few more for me and the misses! Wrap up a few more for us, we gotta go home and-" oh dear he felt woozy as they used the table to steady himself for a moment. Dan just made a non commentary sniffle at the sight of him almost getting dizzy "Sit sit sit" Ginger said rushing over to him in a panicked hurry, she had dropped her mochi in the process to save her husband.

They got him to sit down and she bought up a few dango this time as she held out the treat while he ate it "Thank you Dan! If you weren't here selling these we'd be in big trouble!" Ginger was grateful for his treats while making sure Hubby just kept quiet and ate in peace. Thanks were given once more as the two ate in silence, this was certainly one way to spend the weekend which ginger found fulfilling in their own way as the two love buns were slowly digesting their snacks, Dan watched them a bit wondering when he'd be finished here to get back home and just be around Shibani as he went over to take a break for a moment. Since he was so close by it wouldn't hurt and if anyone tried anything, well that's what the hammer he had with him is for as they sat besides Ginger since she was the more friendly of the two since the dark blue one was a pain in the ass "Thank you for your patronage" He said with a soft voice when a little blue paw came over and was trying to slap at him.

"Don't you try smooching up to my wife" he was growling up but his wife had a good leash on him, maybe physically too but for now it's just verbal affirmations "I'm not going to do that" he said while eating some dango he saved for his own lunch break along with a nice salad, dessert first then food that's the only way to do it. "Why? what's wrong with my wife? she's the most gorgeous bunny around" there was no winning with this guy as he ate while ignoring him but was listening to ginger asking if he had any more new recipes coming out, well that's a secret and to look forward to it when the time comes making her happy.

Hubby was vibrating in trying to fight him but his wife stopped him each time since it was just casual conversation "Better get back to work, just come and check the store if you want to see anything new since I might have it up by then" Ginger said she'll do just that even if it meant spending a tiny mint of carats which was probably a sales tatic by Dan "You trying to get my wife to visit you?" Hubby was hushed with a dango in his mouth. Well this was certainly a day to have at the blood drive for all parties, Ginger liked to think she did something good for all bunny kind as they finished her sweets and took her husband away by the hand to get him to calm down, she really hoped the blood drive was a success.
