Behind the counter of The Rabbit Hole, Alejandra watched Hops expertly mix drinks, hoping she could learn how to prepare them to serve for a friend that would come over her house soon. The bartender, made cocktail-making look like an art form, her movements were swift and precise, but she slowed down intentionally tonight.

"Alright, Alejandra" Hops began, her voice smooth and encouraging. "Let’s start with something simple: a Sin and Tonic. You’ll see it’s not too hard once you get the hang of it."

Alejandra smiled warmly, yet being a bit nervous. "Okay," she said softly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. The succubun was gentle in her mannerisms, thoughtful in the way she approached new things as expected for a nun, but she wasn’t the quickest learner. It wasn’t that she didn’t understand, she just liked to take her time, making sure she got everything right.

Hops placed a bottle of gin, a bottle of tonic water and a few yuzu fruits in front of them.

"The key to a good Sin and Tonic, is balance" she explained, "Too much gin, and it’s overpowering, if you put too much tonic, it loses its punch."

Alejandra nodded, her eyes fixed on the ingredients. She carefully picked up the gin bottle, and Hops guided her hand as she poured it into the glass.

"About one part gin to three parts tonic" the bartender said, watching the other succubun closely.

As Alejandra poured the tonic slowly, her brow furrowed in concentration. "Is it enough?" she asked, looking up at her.

Hops smiled, appreciating her patience and effort "Perfect. Now, a squeeze of yuzu for a bit of zest."

When Alejandra managed to squeeze just enough juice into the glass, she looked up, her face lighting up with a shy smile.

"Good job, you did great!" Hops said, her tone encouraging and proud of the newest student

"Thank you" she replied, her voice soft filled with happiness.

"Now, let’s move on to something even simpler" Hops said, placing a bottle of Chardonnay in front of her. "Wine service is easy, but there are still things you need to keep in mind. First, always hold the wine bottle by the base, not the neck. It looks more professional, and it keeps the wine from warming up too much by your hand."

Alejandra carefully followed the instructions. On the first moment, she almost dropped the bottle but after a moment she was able to grip the base of the bottle just as she was shown."Like this?" she asked.

"Exactly," Hops said, nodding in approval. "Now, pour slowly, and make sure not to overfill the glass. You want about one-third full, enough for people to enjoy a sip without spilling."

Alejandra poured the wine delicately, her hand trembling slightly but steady enough to serve the wine without spilling it out the glass. While she poured, looked to Hops for confirmation if that was the right amount.

"That’s perfect, you’re getting the hang of it." Hops said with a smile.

Alejandra blushed slightly under the praise. "Thank you, Hops. I really appreciate your patience."

Hops chuckled. "No problem at all. You’re doing great, everyone learns at their own pace."

Though Alejandra wasn’t the fastest learner, her careful and thoughtful approach made her a joy to teach. Hops could see her potential as someone who would treat every drink she made with care, ensuring that each one was just right.

As they wrapped up for the evening, Alejandra felt a sense of accomplishment. She wasn’t rushing to master every technique right away, but she knew with time, she’d get there. Hops, with her steady guidance, was sure of it too.

"You’ll be a pro in no time," she said, and Alejandra smiled, her kind and gentle demeanor radiating gratitude.
