A Belated Toyfair Gift

Angelica wasn't expecting a little knock at her dressing room.

She was so busy wrapping up her photoshoots for All Sinner's Day, something that couldn't wait while the Toy Fair was going on. After all, fashion catalogues needed to be updated just in time to hit the shelves as the season starts! She had collaborated with a few brands this year, most of whom were more... timely with scheduling everything. This particular brand unfortunately had no choice but to delay getting Angelica til the last minute, and that delay turned this set into a nightmare! Assistants scrambling around, camera operators hoping their equipment didn't malfunction. Directors shouting out commands as if it was the end of the world. It's quite exhausting! She grimaces a little when recalling it, only to stop as she didn't want any crease lines forming.

Angelica was just finishing removing her set makeup and getting ready to go home when she heard the knock. Tired, and a little exasperated from that shoot, she reluctantly made her way towards the door. With a slightly forced smile, she opens the door, saying "... Hello?"

Nobody's there. Of course.

Before she closes the door, she looks down to find... a box? and a note too! Looks like it was more of a delivery, even still Angelica didn't appreciate the delivery person just ditching like that. With a sigh, she tenderly scoops the package up and heads back inside her dressing room. Making sure to close the door, of course!

It isn't uncommon for her to receive gifts, mainly as thanks from the companies she worked with. Gift baskets were especially common. Gift cards too, haha. This was a bit different however! Reading the note, it seems like this was a gift from a secret fan! They apparently wanted to show their thanks to Angelica as well as admiration for how beautiful and comforting she is both on set, and in her content! During the Toy Fair, they decided to try and learn how to sew in order to make a toy as a gift!

("A toy?" she wondered, not expecting that as a gift).

Peering inside the box, she finds a simple plush made in her likeness! Well... her bun form likeness actually. She gently removes the plush from the box and examines it closely.

Some parts seem quite slapped together, looks like this fan was in a bit of a rush to finish in time. Her signature cape is there too, how charming! This fan really did their best to make her a gift! A handmade one too!

Angelica was so used to receiving corporate gifts, fancy ones too, so getting something that isn't that is such a nice change of pace! She sets it aside on her makeup desk, letting it sit down as she finishes getting ready to go home. Maybe someday she can properly thank her anonymous gifter. For now, all she can do is appreciate that someone truly enjoys her work!
