Epsilon's First Imp
As per usual, Epsilon sat on her bed. Her eyes were closed and she was buried in a thick pile of blankets. It had been a stormy day outside. She hadn’t wanted to do much of anything. But her plans changed as she heard a soft whimper from outside. Curious, she stood up and dusted herself off. First, she checked out her bedroom window but there was nothing there. Just as the bun was about to sit back down, she heard yet another soft whine. With a huff, she stepped out of her room. She looked out her living room window but still there was nothing. Annoyed, Epsilon stormed up to her front door and opened it. She glanced around yet again. However, this time she felt something spin around her legs. Epsilon looked down in a slight panic, not knowing what she had just let inside.
Suddenly there were muddy paw prints littering her living room and some…thing tearing at her couch! The smell was awful too. “No no no! Not the couch!” She said, flailing her arms in frustration. She shut her door and quickly shuffled up to the tiny creature. She had no idea what it was. She watched as the tiny Imp trampled her furniture, leaving behind mud streaks as it traveled. A look of pure animated despair came across her face. Epsilon was never one for cleaning. She absolutely hated it. “Get down! Stop chewing on that!” She commanded, rushing over and reaching out, snatching the creature into her hands. It was solid black and had small horns and floppy ears. She examined the Impup closely. The small Imp let out a ‘yap’ as it wiggled free from her grasp and circled her legs. It sat in front of her, wagging it’s tail happily. It was covered in mud. Epsilon sighed. “Lets- get you cleaned up?”
She lifted the Imp into her arms, walking to her bathroom. She closed the door and set him on the floor. She leaned forward and turned on the water, filling the tub about halfway. She added some soap. “Ok- Get in the tub.” She held the Imp above the tub and attempted to place him into the warm water. It immediately sprinted back, hiding behind Epsilon. She groaned and grabbed the Imp once more, attempting to set it back into the tub. “Get in the tub! In the tub-” She huffed in frustration. “Get in the tub!!!” The Imp sat on her head, refusing to do as she asked. Until it lept off of her and dove into the bath water, splashing Epsilon’s fur. “Ack!” She exclaimed. At least he was in the bath now. “You are a menace…I might keep you.” She gazed into the tiny creature’s eyes. She began to gently wash the excess dirt and grime from the Impup. The bun then drained the tub and set him down onto a towel. She dried him off.
“...Guess I need to make a trip to the Imporium…” She said with a defeated sigh. She was determined to keep this little critter. But first, she needed proper supplies and education. And she would need to name him. How about Tauri? Yeah…Tauri seemed like a good fit.
