A Rainy Date

Today it is raining at Burrowgatory, and Pewii is at the window from their house. They cannot see much outside but they could hear that it is raining today. Their tail can be seen vibrating in excitement hearing the sound of rain. “Wahhh~ It's raining!” They bounce up and down and is about to head outside.

“Pewii, please don't go out again. You'll get sick, remember?” Another bun told them not too, and it’s their husband Raul, who looks worried.

“Mwee?” Pewii turns around to face Raul. “Aww well.. then you should come with me then” They said and went to him. “Pleeease..~?” Their big eyes shine a bit.

Raul just looks at them and sighs. “Sure,” He agreed, he can't say no to his husband, especially looking at their face. “But, I want you to wear a coat this time.”

Pewii just vibrates their tail, happy at the response. “Okay~”

The two buns head outside, thankfully it is raining gently now. Pewii wearing a coat and Raul holding an umbrella and trying his best to follow them.

“Aaa~ Sweet cool rain. It's lovely, isn't it?” Pewii said, tapping the waters with their little guide stick.

“Y.. Yeah” Raul doesn't seem comfortable about it meanwhile.

As they keep on walking, Pewii tends to splash in puddles a lot which cause Raul to back away a bit since he didn't wanna get wet. Pewii starts to get a little farther now from Raul.

Raul noticed this. “?? Pewii wait-!” He catches up to them and just covers them with the umbrella.

“Mweep?” Pewii stopped there and faced him. “Raul.. You shouldn't worry so much~”

“...” Raul just looked at him, remembering the one time Pewii had gotten sick from the rain due to getting wet. “Hey.. I want to ask something but.. can we find a place that can cover us?”

“Mweep? Oh.. Sure” Pewii nodded.

The two find a place where they can chill for a bit. A little coffee cafe that they found along their way.

Pewii takes off their wet coat and puts it in a plastic bag so that it doesn't drip water all over the place. Raul went to order something and he looked at Pewii. “Uhm.. what do you want?”

Pewii turns and faces Raul. “Green tea~ Oh- Do they have any matcha stuff?” They asked.

Raul looked back at the menu and found some. “Yeah, some matcha pancakes?”

Pewii just nods at him in response.

“Okay then” Raul went to order their food and choose to dine in.

Meanwhile Pewii tries to find a place to sit using their guiding stick. They accidentally hit a bun's foot.

“Hey, watch it!” The bun said.

“Oops sorry..!” Pewii responded.

The bun noticed that they're blind and felt kinda bad for shouting at them. “There's an empty table next to mine, just go further.” They pointed, even though pointing where it is won't do much since Pewii could not see it.

“Oh thank you” Pewii smiled and followed the direction where the bun told them. They went to take that seat now and then just waited for Raul.

Raul got the receipt and went to sit with Pewii at the table, waiting for their food now. “So.. is there a reason why you like the rain so much? You got sick from last time you went out in the rain and.. that didn't bother you?”

“Mmm, I just like the cold drippy drip feeling of the rain. It just feels.. nice” That's all Pewii can answer.

“Hmm..” Raul just looks at them and thinks for a bit. “Well.. I just hope this time you wear a coat and umbrella on your way out. I just don't want you to get sick again.” Raul smiles at Pewii a little.

“Awww Raul…” Pewii smiled. “You don't like getting wet?”

“Mmm.. it's just…” Raul scratches his head.

Before he could answer, their order is here now. “Here's your order~” The bun waitress said as they put their order on the table. “Hope you enjoy~” And they turn around and leave the two.

Pewii had their hot green tea and matcha pancakes with whipped cream while Raul had coffee and an “egg” with lettuce and tomato sandwich.

“Mweep, oh my Murmur! I can smell matcha” Pewii takes a fork and starts to take a bite from their matcha pancake. “Mmm~”

Raul looks at Pewii and smiles. He enjoys watching Pewii eating. “Pewii?”

Pewii heard him and faced him. “Yes?”

“Maybe uhm.. If you ever wanna go out in the rain again. Can I come too?” Raul said.

“Waah, of course Raul~ You're always free to join me” Pewii giggles. “But what's with you changing your mind?”

“Well.. I am just not used to going out in the rain.. But that doesn't mean you should go out often. I only want to.. do this with you if.. we have like.. uhm.. a place like this to go to.” Raul answered.

“Alright then Raul” Pewii just smiles at him.

Raul just smiles at that and takes a sip of his coffee now.

The two are just enjoying their time together in the cafe while it is raining outside. It all feels very nice for them, especially eating sweets with a hot cup of coffee or tea.
