Nesting Fort

Mimic paces back and forth through the living room, tail whipping back and forth as if she’s mildly agitated. Ilar had long since gone to work after the two of them had breakfast and everything was fine but now- now something was bothering her and she had no idea what it was. The heat suppressant on her neck would tingle now and then, but what was nagging at her felt completely different than being in Heat.

‘What was it that Ilar did while I was in Heat? Oh right, he gave me his shirt. Maybe that'll help?’ She wondered, making her way into their shared bedroom.

Before Mimic reached the closet, she noticed a shirt was left out on the bed.

She laughed softly as she picked it up and held it to her nose, taking in Ilar’s scent before slipping out of her gown and putting his shirt on instead, tail swaying behind her as she smiled and held it close.

As she stood there basking in her mate’s scent, an idea popped into Mimic’s head and before she knew it she was making her way over to the cabinet in the hallway and grabbing a large bedsheet as well as some covers.

“Now, where am I going to set these up?” She asked herself, looking around.

“I could use the couch in the living room since it’s near the kitchen or maybe the bedroom?” Mimic tilts her head as her brows furrow in thought, opting to set everything up in the living room, looking between the couch and the chairs beside it, then staring at the sheet and covers in her arm.

“This should be enough right?” Mimic set the items on the middle of the couch, then started to rearrange the area as best she could. Moving the table from the center of the room and pushing it against a nearby wall, and pushing the armchairs a bit closer to the couch; grabbing the sheets she grabbed and draping them over the couch and chairs.

Stepping back Mimic looked over her handy work for a moment before making her way over to the cabinet and grabbing a few more sheets and a blanket, placing the sheets over the other sheets to try and make a stable enough roof, and spreading the blanket out on the floor.

She then grabbed all of the pillows and laid them out on the blanket in the shape of a mattress, tossing another blanket over them.

Mimic crawled under the blanket fort and looked around, her eyes lighting up. “It’s been so long since I made a blanket fort.” She says, giggling softly as she looks around, frowning a bit.

“Wait, something’s missing.” Mimic made her way towards her and Ilar’s shared bedroom and grabbed a bottle of cologne, moving towards a few of the plushies Ilar had gotten for her picking them up afterwards and placing them into her newly built fort, spritzing the underside of the wall sheets, the blanket, and a few of the pillows.

Taking a deep breath she grinned. “That’s much better. Now it smells a bit more like Ilar. Oh wait! Speaking of Ilar, hmm…” Another thought popped into her head, making Mimic once again leave her fort and head towards the bedroom, setting the cologne down she makes her way over to the closet and grabs some of his shirts, putting one or two back before rushing into the living room again and setting them on top of the blanket itself and over the back of the chairs facing her.

Mimic laughed then laid backwards, staring up at the blanket ceiling, tail swaying happily behind her as she took a deep breath and relaxed. Her purple eyes drifted towards the shirts on the back of the chair, making her sit up as she tapped her chin, looking at the shirts she set on top of the blanket.

Mimic’s brows furrowed in thought as she made her way towards the bedroom once more and grabbed the pillow Ilar was sleeping on.

Re-entering her pillow fort she grabbed one of the shirts she was laying on and pulled it over the pillow, holding it close to her as she buried her nose in it, flopping backwards again, as her spirit motes nuzzled her cheeks, making her giggle.

“I think I did a pretty good job with this blanket fort, don’t you?” She asked, patting their heads as she sighed.

As her eyes were closing, the sound of squeaking and chirping filled her ears.

Cracking her eyes open, Mimic giggled as she sat up, staring at her Green Pampki and Albino Avia.

“Hello you two, do you wanna come and relax with me?”

Avina flies around Mimic’s head and Bastion bounces up and down.

“Alright alright, come on then.” She says, opening her arms to the small creatures.

Bastion enters the blanket fort first and climbs into Mimic’s lap, bumping her arm so she could pet him; while Avina lands on her shoulder and rubs her head against Mimic’s cheek.

Mimic chuckles softly as she pets both of her imps. “I swear you two are so spoiled.” She says, tail curled around her waist as a content sigh escapes her as the anxious and agitated feeling she felt had seemed to disappear.
