Yuma had a strange Deja Vu feeling at that moment.
Strolling through the fancy chocolate store, with his hands casually tucked in his pockets he surveyed the artisanal masterpieces on the shelves. Chocolate bars and delicately decorated truffles were on display, making the air thick with the sweet scent of sugar and cocoa.
His sharp gaze scanned one tempting delicacy to another, his mind racing, consumed by the task of choosing the perfect box of chocolates for Viorell as an apology after the fiasco that was their first meeting.
The bun carefully examined each option, his fingers lightly brushed against the smooth surfaces of the beautiful boxes. His brows furrowed as he pondered over the array of colorful options, each one more exquisite than the last.
Never did he think he would find himself in a dilemma like this. Who knew that choosing chocolate would be harder than deciding on a flower bouquet?
One would think that such a task would be a breeze for someone like him, who prided himself on his ability to read people and situations. Yet, here he was, feeling the weight of the decision pressing down on him like a heavy cloak.
Yuma couldn't help but feel a twinge of frustration creeping into his usually composed demeanor.
He should have asked Viorell about his preferences in chocolate during that occasion on the blind date.
Personally, in another situation, he would have chosen a selection of nice dark chocolate truffles with a hint of liquor or bourbon. Maybe some salty caramel or something with a strong and deep flavor like coffee.
At least that was his taste in chocolate.
But this was different.
Yuma's eyes flitted from one box to another, his mind a whirlwind of indecision. He let out a soft sigh, feeling the pressure mounting with each passing moment. Viorell's image lingered in his mind, adding another layer of complexity to the already daunting task before him.
He continued to peruse the meticulously crafted chocolate offerings, and finally settled on a box of assorted dark chocolate truffles with hints of exotic spices and floral essences, hoping it would match Viorell's refined taste.
As he reached out to grab the chosen box, a familiar voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Having trouble deciding, are we?" The smooth timbre of Viorell's voice sent a shiver down Yuma's spine as he turned to face him, trying to mask the surprise that flickered in his eyes.
There stood Viorell, a soft smile playing on his lips, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
Yuma's heart skipped a beat at the sight of bun standing there, looking as charming as ever. His mind raced, trying to come up with a nonchalant response.
"Just enjoying the variety," Yuma replied casually, attempting to regain his composure.
Viorell chuckled softly, his laughter like a melody in the air, causing Yuma's heart to flutter with a mixture of nerves and anticipation.
"Found something that caught your eye?" Viorell inquired, his gaze warm and inviting as he observed Yuma's expression.
"Maybe" Yuma replied with a smirk, his eyes flickering over the array of chocolates.
Viorell's gaze lingered on Yuma, a soft smile playing on his lips, curiosity glinting in his eyes as he observed the ex-priest. Viorell took a step closer, his eyes locked with Yuma's, a playful glint dancing within them making Yuma feel a rush of warmth spread through him, a mix of nervousness and excitement swirling in his chest.
Until the green-haired bun reached for a box of chocolate on the top shelf behind Yuma, his fingertips grazing the edge of the box.
"Here, why don't you try this one?" Viorell's voice was soft, almost like a gentle caress as he held out a box of assorted caramel-filled truffles and white chocolate bars.
His eyes sparkled with mischief, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he took the box.
Yuma felt a surge of warmth spread through him at Viorell's proximity, his heart beating a little faster in his chest.
A chuckle escaped his lips as he looked at Viorell's outstretched hand. An elegant box of assorted caramel-filled chocolate and white chocolate dangled between Viorell's fingers as he extended it towards Yuma.
"I'm sure the person you have in mind would love it." Viorell's voice was like a soft melody, carrying a hint of mischief as he extended the delicate packaging, adorned with intricate designs and gold foil accents.
Yuma accepted the box with a smirk, his fingers brushing against Viorell's briefly as he took hold of it.
"Perhaps I should take your recommendation then," Yuma replied, his tone light yet laced with amusement. "Well, since Carma seems to have brought us together on this delightful day, would you care to join me for a cup of coffee with maybe a fancy box of chocolate?"
Yuma's voice was smooth like velvet, a playful glint in his eyes as he extended the invitation to Viorell. He couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement at the prospect of spending more time with Viorell, his heart beating a little faster in his chest.
Viorell's eyes met Yuma's, a smile tugging at his lips as he considered the invitation.
"I'd love to," Viorell finally replied, his voice warm and inviting. The air between them seemed to crackle with energy, charged with an unspoken tension that only added to the thrill of the moment.
Yuma smiled at Viorell, a mixture of relief and excitement flooding his chest.
"Well, let's get going then?"
