Why Food Buns Shouldn't Wander
If you dared to ask Ione if they remembered much of their time before Burrowgatory, they will stop whatever they are doing, pull away from that action and stare at you rather mildly exasperated. If Limon happen to be nearby she will burst into loud laughter at that question as well as Ione's reaction. Ione will sigh tiredly.
"She was a handful. Always getting into somethin she should not have been in and our demon caretaker always had to pull her out."
"He came because you always cried for my sake." Limon teased and Ione's cheeks flushed bright red at that. "You scared me a lot remember? I did eventually stop crying and you can barely get reactions out of me with your antics anymore" the gluttony snapped and Limon pouted.
"I miss the days when you outwardly cared about me." Limon ducked the towel that had been thrown her way with a loud laugh.
"I still care about you, you little shit" Their tone was fondly irate as the glutton continue to speak "You're just more capable of getting yourself out of dumb shit you got yourself into now." Limon snorted softly at the amused look on Ione's face.
"Yeah yeah I know..."
It was indeed true. Those two had been littermates right from the start, having been in the Church of Sulfur Nursery together and sent to the same demon to be hand-raised. Ione was quite the adorable small bun, creamy brown fur with blotches of lighter cream scattered over their body, their hooves pale gray blue and their tail had that signature glass tip with coffee inside. Their gluttony horns did not exist at the time as they had not even found their vice yet.
Limon was just as colourful then as she is now with her signature split duotone yellow and green as well as dotting of white across their neck, their glassy spikes, legs and tail tip were visible. Like Ione, Limon had not discovered her vice so her citrusy lust horns did not exist.
Ione obviously indulged quite considerably in food as the demon who looked after them both as well as their littermates adored to spoil the young brown bun in food as well as talk about all food combinations and culinary arts.
At the time, Limon had not even started to explore various vices; instead preferring to look for ways to get herself trapped so the demon would have to rescue the poor young rascal. Every single time she would bubble up with soft adorable laughter much to everyone's chagrin.
The demon eventually learned swiftly to ALWAYS keep an eye on Limon. BUT. Did they also keep her on a leash? Nope. That thought did not even cross their mind at all. Why? She's adorable. What could go wrong?
Everything. That's the answer.
Their demon caretaker had taken the current litter and put into a playpen that was thoroughly secured to prevent any wandering or escapes. There were a group of them, most notable three obviously food themed buns; Limon, Ione and a pale cream with salmon pink hooves and a tuft of hair on his head that happened to be rather fluffier than needed.
"Be good, little ones. I will be back with food~!" Their demon caretaker cooed as they reached down to pat each and every single one of their heads before departing. There were toys and books scattered across the playpen and several of their littermates were interacting with them or straight up sleeping.
Limon and Nori on the other hand. One was gnawing on the bars while the other one was attempting to scale the wall.
"Be careful!" Ione whined "You shouldn't do this! We should stay, be good bunnies and wait for food...."
"I WANT OUT" Limon pouted as she fell down few inches from the wall. "IT'S BORING IN HERE!" Her hooves kicked in air as she rolled over before stumbling to her feet only to fall onto Nori who promptly chomped onto her ears and she yelped. A quick smack fest later and they separated. Ione gnawed on their hooves anxiously as Limon attempted to wriggle her way out of a hole but they were all too small.
"AH-HA!" Nori yelled in rather squeaky voice as he managed to gnaw hole large enough to wriggle through, swiftly followed by Limon who promptly ran off with Nori hot on her heels.
"W-WAIT! NO! S-STOP!" The brown bunny protested as they wriggled through the hole and hobbled after the other two.
"Wait! Stop! Wait for me! You two are too fast!" Their whining voice called out as they attempted to keep up with the two rascals who were immediately sprinting across the fields. Once they were inside the woods portion they began to slow down and Ione was able to catch up only to trip over a branch. They yelped as Nori and Limon caught them but they all tumbled to the ground.
"Don't cry, Ione...! We're not hurt. Look!" Limon shifted and got to her hooves just to show the tear-eyed brown bun that she was alright. Nori did the same and Ione seemed to calm down with reassurance from the pair.
They continued to wander, Nori occasionally stopping to CHOMP on some stray leaf and Limon to admire some pretty flowers that Nori also promptly chomped onto.
Then. Tragedy struck! Limon's hoof caught onto something and she fell onto Nori. They both tumbles straight into a thorny bush. Ione gasped in horror as the pair attempted to right themselves but could not as thorns had gotten tangled into their fur.
Ione began to whimper softly as Limon and Nori spotted the berries.
"D-Don't! You don't know if they're p-poisoned!"
"It's finnnnnnnnnnne" Nori's squeaky voice answered them as the trapped babies began to snack on the berries.
"Where are Ione, Limon and Nori?!" Their demon caretaker panicked as they had just returned to the playpen only to notice the missing trio and a chewed hole in the wall. Then. A familiar cry shrieking pierced the air and they sighed.
"Look like they got themselves in trouble. Again."
When they found the group, Ione was plopped down on their back hooves, wailing loudly with big wet beads dropping down from their scrunched up eyes as Limon and Nori calmly munched on berries inside the thorny bush.
"Goodness you three..." The demon sighed softly as they carefully extracted the trapped pair from the bush then picked Ione up to soothe the distressed bun.
"You two really did have tendency to wander off and get into places you're not supposed to, though....Nori is a hermit still and you've calmed down considerably since then" Ione groaned as they recalled the day with Limon who only giggled.
"We should stop by and see Nori sometime. It's been a while."
"Agreed, Limon."
