Flowers For You

"Sir... have you already made up your mind?" the florist's assistant said a little impatiently.

"Ah...just another moment please...." Yuma smiled his charming smile, which made the woman sigh and disarm a little bit.

Yuma's eyes scanned the array of vibrant blooms before him, the scent of jasmine hung in the air, mingling with the sweet fragrance of roses, creating a symphony for the senses. His fingers grazed over delicate petals as he tried to select each flower with meticulous care.

He sighed, feeling almost anxious.

That wasn't his first rodeo when it came to matters of the heart but for some reason, love had always eluded him like a fleeting shadow in the night. His romantic tendencies seemed to be considered cringe nowadays.

The florist's assistant tapped her foot impatiently, a subtle frown creasing her brow as Yuma continued to deliberate over the selection of flowers.

Lost in his own thoughts, he finally settled on a combination of yellow gardenias that symbolize dreams, intertwining with soft pink carnations often associated with admiration and devotion and the final touch of a single red rosebud that meant a confession of love and love at first sight.

Yuma smiled as he paid for the meticulously arranged bouquet. A modest declaration of love and admiration of a bun.

As he turned to leave the quaint flower shop, a gentle breeze swept through the open doorway, carrying with it the faint scent of fresh snow. The lights of the bioluminescent plants filtered through the stained glass windows, casting colorful patterns on the polished wooden floor.

Yuma left the quaint flower shop and headed towards the park, the bouquet of flowers cradled gently in his arms like a precious treasure.

Today would be the day...

Don't get him wrong, Yuma had been in this situation before. Pouring his heart out, risking it all for a chance at something more, something real. But there was something different about Viorell- the lovely and charming bun that had captured his fancy-.

Their first meeting hadn't been that eventful, in truth, Viorell didn't even know he existed. He had stumbled over the bun while he was waiting for a client, Viorell was sitting by the edge of a fountain in the park, his tail swishing lazily behind him while he was busing himself with lunch and a book.

Nothing that impressive....

But for Yuma, there was something captivating about the bun's presence. The way the light danced in his green hair, the gracefulness of his movements as he turned the pages of his book, the hint of a smile playing on his lips as he read. It was as if time stood still in that moment, and Yuma found himself drawn to the bun like a moth to a flame.

And that's when his intel gathering started...

Yuma couldn't help but feel the flutter of excitement mixed with a tinge of nervousness as he visited the park day after day, only to observe the bun and try to discover more about him.

As the days passed by, Yuma's infatuation with Viorell grew deeper. The park became his sanctuary, a place where he could steal glances at the elegant bun without fear of being noticed.

Which led him to the exact point he found himself right now.

When he arrived at his destined spot, Viorell was sitting by the edge of the sparkling fountain just as he had done on all previous days, his attention absorbed in a book. The soft rustle of pages turning was like a melodic whisper in the serene atmosphere, blending harmoniously with the gentle sounds of a few avias perched on the branches nearby.

The delicate fragrance of the flowers enveloped Yuma as he approached Viorell, his heart pounding in his chest like a drum seeking rhythm. Every nerve in his body seemed electrified as he cleared his throat, the sound echoing faintly in the tranquil surroundings of the park.

Viorell looked up from his book, a curious expression in his golden eyes as they met Yuma's gaze. The soft rustle of the pages ceased, leaving behind a moment of silence that hung heavy between them like a delicate thread.

Yuma's heart raced in his chest, his palms slightly sweaty as he held out the bouquet of flowers towards Viorell. The bun's eyes widened in surprise, a faint blush creeping up his cheeks, adding a rosy hue to his already radiant complexion.

"Are you sure these flowers are for me?" Viorell's voice was soft, a hint of uncertainty lacing his words as he looked at Yuma with a mixture of surprise and curiosity in his shining eyes.

"Unless your name is not Viorell, these flower are indeed for you." Yuma replied, his voice smooth like honey, with a hint of playful sarcasm dancing in his eyes.

Viorell's eyes widened in surprise and curiosity as he accepted the bouquet from Yuma's outstretched hand. The delicate petals brushed against his hand, sending a shiver down his spine.

He couldn't help but notice the way Yuma's gaze lingered on him, a spark of something unspoken flickering in those deep, mysterious eyes.

"I... I don't know what to say," Viorell stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Yuma chuckled softly, a glint of amusement dancing in his eyes as he watched Viorell's reaction to the bouquet of flowers. The gentle rustle of leaves added a soothing background melody to the scene, as if nature itself was holding its breath in anticipation.

His gaze lingered on Viorell, his eyes betraying a hint of vulnerability beneath their playful facade. Now should be the moment he had been waiting for, the culmination of days spent admiring from afar, the hope of a connection blossoming like the flowers in the park.

But of course, life had a way of unfolding in unexpected ways.

"Well, I guess my job here is done." Yuma remarked casually, his tone laced with a touch of mischief as he watched Viorell's reaction to the bouquet of flowers."I hope you have a lovely rest of your day," Yuma said with a charming smile, his eyes shimmering with a mischievous glint.

"Wait!" Viorell said when he saw Yuma step back.

Yuma just smiled before turning and walking away. He could hear his heart drumming in his ears as he walked away, each step heavier than the last. The crunch of gravel beneath his shoes seemed to echo the tumultuous rhythm of his emotions.

He had chickened out.

He had chickened out and the words he longed to say stuck in his throat like a bitter pill.

"Fuck..." the word lingered in the air like a heavy fog, enveloping Yuma in a cloud of frustration and self-doubt. "Now Fuave will never let me live this down…"
