[Gift] 'bird' research w/ Celestite

'Find information on birds... find information on birds...' Celestite was completely entranced in her task, to find any information she could on 'birds'. It wasn't very helpful that Jackal didn't have much information on the creatures themselves, but she was making the best with what she was given.

A few times now, she's tried asking for any information or books on the creatures from friends or neighbors that happen to have oddity knowledge and texts. Each bun she asked had no clue what a 'bird' was though. Or even worse, would give information that contradicted the last account.

Even books depicting them were all sketches based on poorly given descriptions the demons vocally told, some of which had to be lying. No one creature can be so massive yet so small, and so plump yet so scrawny. It truly made no sense frankly.

"Hey... Celestite?" Jackal nudged the bun slightly on the shoulder, setting a hot cup of cocoa on the table infront of her. "Don't worry so much, okay? We'll figure it out, I hope at least haha..." Jackal's gentle laugh teetered off at the end, and she seemed a little less sure of herself than when she started that statement.

"I know, I have faith we'll figure this thing out... But it's awful not being able to help much." Celestite huffed, and sat her head down on the table in defeat. "It's an awful feeling to not be able to help a friend in need." Whether she said it outloud or not, Celestite actually has gotten quite attached to Misty. And she desperately did want to help.

"Just take a break for now at least? You've been at this for a while, you're going to wear yourself out." Jackal nudged the cocoa closer to Celestite. "Here, Misty made this for you. I already drank mine."

Celestite picked up the warm mug, and took a little test sip to see how hot it was. Thankfully, it was just the right temperature. After a few sips, she set it down and sighed happier this time.

"Thanks, though I'm still confused about a lot of what i've found. Nothing is substantially similar in personal accounts, and all the sketches look vastly different." She tossed a loose page with a strange drawing atop it towards Jackal.

"Huh... this does look different from what the library depicted. Strange.." Jackal studied it a bit, turning it different ways, maybe hoping it was slightly different in different positions. "Hmm.."

Misty wandered over soon enough, trying to take a glance at it as well. "I can't say I recall anything like that, though that may just be my memory failing me... I can't be certain." Misty stood a moment longer, tilting their head to the side pondering the image. "Though most who loose their memory can recall something if shown to them, can't they?"

Celestite thought for a moment, trying to remember herself if she knew if that was right or not. "That sounds right, though I can't be sure. Not many succubuns have such a condition," it was rather rare, and only in instances of pure accidents and injury. Not that there was much of either for succubuns.

The three of them shuffled around papers for a bit longer, pointing out parts of different drawings that could be referencing something similar. Though as Celestite pointed out, even a drawing or two didn't depict the main thing birds are supposidly known for - feathers. One was gangly and smooth, wearing wrinkles on its' neck and drooping down its' chin somehow. And the other having scales of some kind... surely that can't be a bird, can it?

"I'm gonna lay down, my head hurts from all this nonsense. Maybe we can take a different approach tomorrow though, this doesn't seem to get us anywhere anytime soon." Jackal stood up, bringing her mug to the sink to rinse out.

Celestite thought a moment, but ultimately agreed. "I think you're right, we need to go at this a different way entirely. I don't believe we're making any progress, especially if it's not ringing any bells for Misty." She then turned to the mysterious one standing nearby. "If you are right about amnesic memory recalling something it's learned before, then we have to be on the wrong path. You haven't seemed familiar with any of this."

"That is true... Hmm, I suppose I vote for a different approach as well... If I do get a vote, that is." Jackal chuckled a bit at Misty's nervousness showing through her statement.

And with Jackal tucking Misty into their little spot on her couch, they all agreed to get a good night's sleep, and get back at it the next day hopefully.

Jackal even offered Celestite stay the night, just for the sake of her already being her so late and all. She supposed it wouldn't hurt, and got cozy on the loveseat nearby. Of course in bun form for extra comfiness.
