It was early in the day, a winter fair had been set up. Little stalls selling hot drinks, baked goods, knitwear, and decorations lined the perimeter of the fair. Everything in the center of the fair were games and activities, especially plenty of opportunities to have a photo op. Music played over the speakers that were strategically placed throughout the event. Many buns milled about the area, laughing and enjoying the day. A few stopped at the giant snowglobe that had been set up in the precise middle of the fair.

In this snowglobe, there were a few hills of snow, dotted with false, flourished trees, all of which was covered in snow. This globe was covered in a plexiglass dome, which was carved with intricate, wintery designs. More of the snow blew around in flurries around the snowglobe. Through the flurries, the crowd could see four forms. Three had taken on their doll forms while the fourth stayed in their bun form. This quartet seemed to enjoy the attention they had gathered.

The tallest doll was Argus. He stood at 6’9, and with his grand horns, most assumed that he had gotten into the globe while in bun form. He was wearing his favorite jeans, a t-shirt, and a denim jacket. Next was Cailean, at 5’10. Fae wore their trademark kilt, a grey blouse, and a tartan cape. Then there was Panacea, who only stood at 4’10. She was wearing what looked to be a suit at first, but it was sweats designed to look professional. The one in bun form was Fara, her colors reminiscent of stained glass and painted shells.

The four waved to the crowd, letting the morning buns see them before the show started. The crowd waved back, whispering. They wondered what this was for as the four buns in the globe could not look more different. While the crowd looked at each other in confusion, Cailean grinned mischievously. Fae ducked behind one of the trees and scooped up some snow.

This snow was just sodium polyacrylate. It felt cool in faer hand, sort of soft. Fae formed it into a ball, took aim, and hit Panacea in the head. The red head did not stop to think as she scooped up some snow and looked at her attacker. She threw the snowball, hitting the tree behind Cailean as the bagpiper ducked. Faer next snowball hit Fara, causing the bun to fall into the fake snow face first.

Fara jumped up and glared at Cailean. Pan managed to hit Cailean as the bagpiper listened to Fara’s complaints. This caught Cailean’s attention and soon fae and Pan were in an all out snowball fight. The flying fake snow caused Argus to scoop Fara up and set her on his shoulder. Fara took the chance to sit down, practically safe from the other two.

Panacea was ruthless as she threw snowballs at Cailean. This demeanor resembled her attitude whenever she was at The Bull’s Horns, Argus’ fighting pits, where she was often one of the various opponents. Cailean, on the other hand, struck the audience like a warrior from a fantasy novel. Fae was relentless and seemed calculating in faer actions.

Snowballs hit trees, the plexiglass dome of the snowglobe, Argus, Cailean, and Panacea. Nothing inside the globe was truly safe. Outside the globe, the crowd laughed, some even picking sides and cheering the fight on. If the crowd had any effect on Cailean and Pana, no one could say, but the duo continued their snowball fight. Argus carried Fara to a tree and put her on one of the branches, which made the bun almost look like an ornament in the tree. Several of the crowd took pictures of the tree stuck bun as Argus walked back to the fighters.

The gluttony bun seemed to be acting like a referee, a role he knew well from his business. He could tell Panacea was near a breaking point. Without giving the duo time to think, he picked them both up by their shirt collars. Cailean squeaked, unused to dangling at least a foot off the ground without climbing a tree. Panacea had a different reaction, first glaring at Argus. After a second, the psychologist sighed, realizing that she had gone too far.

After they both had calmed down and apologized, Argus put them down. He then got Fara out of the tree. By now, all four buns were covered in fake snow. Cailean and Panacea both waved to the crowd, who had been shocked at how Argus had easily managed to break them up. The four buns then sat in the fake snow. After a brief discussion, the plaid dressed bun pulled out faer pan flute and began to play. The other three began to sing, the song a winter classic that the crowd outside the snowglobe joined in on.
