This was likely going to be a rough day for Dan.

Of all the succubuns, in all locations, he had ended up with Ignition inside his delicate confectionary workshop. He was certain upon seeing him that this wouldn't mesh well. Aside from his very brash introduction and wide grin, the lingering smell of gunpowder and the scrapes along the other dolls skin seemed to tell him everything he needed to know. Despite his reservations, Ignition stands politely with his wide eyes at one of the work benches, looking over the ingredients with a tilt of the head.

"Dango?" He questions. For some reason Dan almost hadn't expected him to know what he would be expected to make right off the bat. Perhaps snap judgements should be something he does less of, Its just that he is very serious about this apprentice-search. From Dans expression, Ignition grins and raises an eyebrow "Yeah, I know what the specific lessons are for, Genius, Its in the title"

Or perhaps he had overestimated the bun after all.

"Right. We will first begin by soaking the skewers for the dango. Do you have any idea as to why?" Dan begins and Ignition nods with an overenthusiastic smile.

"Yeah. Otherwise the Dango probably wont slide into place on the pick so well, Right?"

"Ah, So you do have working braincells up there after all, Good. Since that will be left to work its own magic, Next you should begin mixing the rice flour and hot water together, Use a spoon to keep it consistently mixed until it begins to form shape." Dan nods in a short and curt manner. Ignition rolls his eyes but does as the instructions tell him.

In a bowl, and on a stable surface, he begins to mix the two together, seemingly very focused on getting the consistency right. From where he's standing, It's too runny and Dan knows this. Without needing to step in to save the poor Dango mix, Dan watches as Ignition shakes his head and tuts before adding more flour to the mixture and ditching the spoon, Finally beginning to shape the clump with his [washed] hands.

"Hm. Never would've thought about Dango feelin' like clay, But it makes sense now that i am actively thinking about it."

Dan almost snorts a small puff of air of amusement before he catches himself. "Right, Next add the small drop of colouring for visual aid, and then the crushed blueberries to your right. Work it into the mixture slowly or it may not take."

Ignitions tail swayed softly behind him as he did as he was told, for a change. The flames surrounding it, and his horn, gave off a gentle kind of warmth. Ignition himself was certain it could give off a more fiery one, but never burn anything or cause damage of course. The small glow from them was hard to notice in the daylight anyway.

"Okay, Chef! Dough is flavoured up!"

"Not a chef." Dan chastised lightly as he inspected the bowl with narrowed eyes.

"Ah yes, Apologies, Mochi master, Wont happen again" Ignition salutes in an exaggerated manner. He had expected it to irritate the confectioner in question but he simply sighed and gave a small and sharp look of dissaproval.

"Now, Shape them into the small ball shapes. This recipe won't make too many to prevent wastage."

"And then we're going to cook 'em, right? I seen that water boiling pot over there already." Ignitions tail flicked as if to gesture to the pot behind him.

"That's correct, Don't get too ahead of yourself." Dan crossed his arms as the other bun began shaping the dough into same sized balls. Thankfully as Dan had said, There weren't too many, so as soon as they were all lined up Ignition immediately went to work, spinning himself around and loading them onto a large and flat spoon shaped utensil so he could lower them into the boiling pot carefully. Once they had been boiled and risen to the top he carefully placed them into a nearby bowl of ice water to let them cool. Ignition leaned back against one of the worktops.

"You know, This Dango thing doesn't seem all that hard to do. With enough practice i'm sure it could be a really good craft, You know, Given time"

Dan sighs but its lacking the annoyance from earlier, its more relaxed. "You didn't do too bad. There's potential"

As the black eared doll whipped back around to start skewering the dango balls onto the pick, he grinned again "Potential is my middle name!"

Dan inspected the Blueberry Dango that Ignition had managed to make with, little to no hiccups. It was not the impression he had gotten from him when the doll had first walked through the doors. To say he was pleasantly surprised would be the correct phrasing. "We'll see."
