Bets and Debts 2

Evangeline had gone to the Wonderland Casino to just have a fun night. Play some slots, maybe have a drink or two, even try her luck at roulette. What had ended up happening instead was something a bit tragic; after a streak of good luck, she’d been convinced to play some card games, with Angora no less, and proceeded to lose miserably. What’s more, she had definitely bet more than she should, and now had a debt to pay off.

“You could pay off the debt by working for me,” Angora grinned at her, “How do you feel about becoming my personal attendant? Or you could work at the casino if you would prefer.”

Evangeline wasn’t exactly sure what the difference was. Oblivious, she asked, “What does being your personal attendant entail?” She was at least fairly certain that she knew what working at the casino itself would entail. She could do things like bartend or deal, perhaps serving drinks in a bunny costume or the like. It was an exciting thought.

Angora chuckled deeply. “My, are you really so naïve?” She used a single finger to lift Evangeline’s chin so that her face was tilted up towards her. “You would attend to me.” She stressed the word. “In whatever way I see fit. If you’re lucky, I may even attend to you.”

The implications were thankfully not lost on Evangeline, and her cheeks darkened into a blush. “I-I, well…” It wasn’t that she didn’t want to; exactly the opposite, in fact, but truthfully Evangeline wanted to do a bit of both. She loved the idea of being a dealer or doing other odd jobs around the casino, but Angora’s personal attendant was also tempting… “Would it, um, would it be possible for me to do both?”

Angora tilted her head. “Did you misunderstand me? I said that I would decide if I were to attend to you.”

“No! No, not that. I understand that.” Evangeline cleared her throat, “I meant, could I take both positions? Could I work at the casino and as your personal attendant in order to repay my debt? I’d like to do a bit of both.”

That was a strange request. Angora had only ever seen someone want one or the other. “Are you looking to pay off the debt twice as fast? Time does not work that way, I’m afraid. There’s only so much you can do in a day.”

“I know that,” Evangeline smiled sheepishly. “I just thought that both sounded fun… I don’t want to miss out on one by taking the other, you know?”

At this, Angora laughed. This woman was amusing, and now she was looking forward to her new attendant even more. “Why not? We can certainly work out a suitable schedule for you to do both.” As she stared down at Evangeline, her eyes darkened with desire. “However, tonight you are to be my attendant and only my attendant. Understood?”

Evangeline could feel her cheeks heating again. “Yes, ma’am.”
