Angora's Game

Isdis pulled out a chair from across from Angora. It was quiet for a moment before Isdis pressed her lips together. "A game. For your matcha." She pointed to the container sitting beside the other.

Angora let a smile dance across her lips, then as she moved to place her hand on the box. "This? My, my, but I wanted to make some tea with it. But, I'm a gambling woman, beat me and you can have it." She shifted and took a long drag off her cigarette. "Well? Which game do you want to lose at?"

Shifting Isidis let her cloak fall back on her seat. "Any game?"

"Absolutely. Nothing you can beat me at." She purred softly.

Isdis exhaled, she knew that, she had spent a while learning under Angora, she definitely could beat her at almost anything. But there was also one thing Angora couldn't control the outcomes. A game of chance.

Isdis offered her a smile. "Okay. Best two out of three coin flip."

"A coin flip?" Angora asked, definitely confused, her nose scrunched up. Out of all the games she could beat anyone at it had to be a simple coin flip. "How boring."

"Apologies, Angora, but you did say any game, and technically it is a game."

She let out a soft exhale. "Very well. A game of chance."

Isdis provided a small coin and handed it over so Angora could inspect it so she didn't  think that she was cheating at all. After she flipped the coin over in her hands, running her fingers along the edges. After a few moments she handed it back over.

Smiling Isdis went. "Okay. Call it."

A look of thought went over Angoras face for a moment before going. "Tails."

"Fine, then I'll have heads." She put the coin in position before flipping it.

Both women watched the coin flip in the air before it fell on the table. Shifting they leaned over and looked at the coin. Heads.

"You win this round." Angora sucked her teeth in an annoyed manner.

"One more and I win." Isdis teased softly.

Angora took another drag of her cigarette, holding it in her lungs for a moment before breathing it out, watching the smoke dissipate in the air. She mulled over her thoughts for a moment. "I want heads this time."

Isdis clicked her tongue. "Very well. Tails is mine." She picked up the coin and flipped it in the air in one swift motion.

It quickly flipped in the air before dropping on the table. Tails.

"Aha! Fate is on my side today." Isdis clapped her hands together.

Angora made a nasty face, it wasn't often she lost mostly because she played games that made sure you won because of skill not dumb blind luck. She waved her hand in the air.

At the moment Hops bounced over and placed a drink in front of her before going to take their place back behind the bar.

Picking up the drink Angora waved the liquid swirl, the drink itself glittering of gold. It was so mesmerizing to watch. Eventually took a drink of it before setting the cup down. "Dumb luck." She muttered sourly. "You know I hate games based on luck."

"Im sorry, Angora, but I really do need that matcha." She offered her a soft smile. "Plus I knew you could beat me in most of the games you have here so I had to think outside of the box."

Angora leaned back in her seat and shrugged. "You're right, you never were any good at card games."

"There's too many rules." Isdis admitted. "Simple is my favorite."

Angora chuckled softly before sliding over the box with her imported matcha in it. "Now you better not let this go to waste. This is high quality."

Isdis took the box into her possession. "Of course. I wouldn't dream of letting it go to waste. Thank you."

She stood up and gave Angora a small curtsy before heading out of the casino with the box in tow. She had two out of three ingredients she needed, next she'd have to pay dear Hutch a visit to get that last one. And then to the church for the other ingredients. Simple as pie.

Isdis plays an inconvental game with Angora, to her dismay.

After I wrote which ones they chose I used rng to decide what the outcome was.
