May I Have This Dance? | The Chase

Ah, the Gossamer Gala.

Not gonna lie, Damian was starting to lose track of how many drinks he's had so far. Pretty sure he's had more drinks than dances at this point, but could you blame him? For one, the drinks tasted pretty fucking amazing. The snacks weren't too bad either, but the pride bun had always been more of an alcoholic than a foodie. The other thing, though...

While dancing was fun, and he didn't hate the kind of dancing one did at a gala, it did lack a certain kind of excitement the pride bun was steadily starting to crave as the night went on. He needed to find a partner who would be down to shake things up a bit, and while he didn't mind going from bun to bun to figure who was up for something like that... If someone caught his eye, but wasn't interested in shaking things up in some way? Well...

Something, somebun, caught Damian's eye while he downed his nth drink. Curious; hadn't he seen that bun somewhere before? Some bar? Dancing? Fighting? Hmm...

Maybe he should slow it down with the drinks. He wasn't going to, and was honestly still a ways away from being drunk, but maybe. A concept. Either way, Damian put the empty glass away before making his way to the familiar face in the crowd. Something which might take him a hot sec, only because said familiar sight kind of seemed to be on the move themself.

Eh, Damian did enjoy a good chase.

Really, Asterix was having a wonderful time. The dancing was fun, drinks were nice, and he had swapped with many buns over the night.

Really, Asterix adored the attention his clothes brought. The compliments fed his gluttonous need for attention that made even other lust buns look clingy. Though as fun as this was, and as busy as being Marbles' designated safe person, Asterix was bored now.

Taking a sip, Asterix tried to his his boredom with a snaggletooth grin until a familiar bun caught his eye. Pride horns and a glow of recognition from the other helped. So, Asterix's grin widened. Now devilish as he strutted away. Happy to play chase.

Asterix weaved through the crowd with practoced ease, as if he was just socializing. But no, he was red riding hood now and the other was a wolf. Or perhaps, it was the opposite. Leading red hood away from the crowd to a quieter area for some misadventures. Either way, Asterix need for attention and impulsive nature kicked in.

Hmm, now was this a chase, or a hunt? Somehow it was starting to feel a little like the latter, but Damian couldn't quite put a claw on it as to why. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that, as he continued to try and 'chase' this bun down through the throng of other buns, he didn't really feel like he was getting any closer. And the other bun had seen him. This he was sure of. Hmm...

A hunt it is, then.

Damian wasn't quite as graceful as the other when it came to moving through the crowd, but at least he had tried to not be a complete brute about it. Now, though? He grew a little more brutish, just trying to close the gap between the two of them. He could be being led somewhere, he could not be. That wasn't really something the pride bun cared much for. What he did care for was eventually closing the steadily shrinking gap between them. He really was this close to just charging through without a care, but... This was still a gala, Damian.

Asterix huffed a laugh as he looked back, watching as the other stumbled about. Fangs poking out in amusement. The idol even had the cheekiness to wave before turning a corner to somewhere more closed off, more private.

To be frank, he found the bun fun. So, what about a little challenge? Maybe a invitation to spar after the gala? Or a drink or two? Though the lust bun was pretty sure the bouncer was a bit tipsy. That was Asterix being kind in his estimate. What a silly guy, drinking so much.

Once again turning a corner and finding a quiet place he sat on a ornate bench, hooves crossed in a polite manner while sipping champagne from a offered tray. Waiting.

What kinda responce would Asterix get this time? The thought made Asterix grin in anticipation. Making him look like a little devil.

Though it would seem that this little chase of theirs was starting to come to an end, and probably not a moment too soon. Not that Damian was on the verge of going on a rampage or anything like that. After all; the bun had some class. It was just nice to see the end of one thing and the potential beginning of something else.

"Y'really like playing hard to get, huh?" Were the first words out of his mouth once he finally caught up with the lust bun, who was just oh-so casually sipping a drink. Like he hadn't led him on an entire chase to get to this point. Not that Damian was upset or anything.

Nah; as he took his seat next to the lust bun he really was more amused than anything. "Do I get a prize, or didja still have more chase in you left?" He questioned as he reached out to put an arm around the other bun.

"Mmmm..." Asterix hummed, now leaning on the other once the arm was securely around him. "I don't have a reason to cause another chase, unless you like seeing me run only to catch me." The other smirked, lifting the half empty glass...

Then offering to the others lips. "For all the trouble."

Asterix even puts on a charming smile. Adding to the 'cheeky' label he was given.

Hmhmm... Well, a prize was a prize, no matter what it was. The glass might have been half empty, but that was still somewhat enough for him.

Somewhat.

"Not gonna lie; was hoping for something a little...sweeter, after all of that." He said after having drunk the remainder of the champagne. "How about a little dance? I know you've got some impressive moves I wouldn't mind seeing again."

In more ways than one.

Damian mighy be a pride bun, but he definitely could be greedy in his own way, too.

"Sweeter you say?" Asterix hums, leaning back against him now. "A dance sounds fun, question is... Who leads?" Asterix sets the glass aside, poking the other's chin. "I'll let you lead, if you get me food at the bar next time Mr. Bouncer." Asterix teases, happy to find the other's eyes on him. "Maybe we can fight each other if you like..."

Damian's grin grew a little wider as the other bun spoke. A treat for a treat? How could he possibly say no to an offer like that?

"Anything you please~" He murmured in response. His eyes lit up at the even more tantalizing, sweeter offer of a fight. Or..."fight"? Either one Damian being more than a little game for.

His hold on the lust bun tightened a little as he spoke again, "Oh yeah...? A fight, even?" ... While he'd pretty much been led to a pretty private spot within the gala, they...probably should take wherever this was going somewhere actually private.

Not that Damian wasn't used to having an audience for either of his...'fighting styles.' He didn't quite know this bun's limits though, and... This was still a gala, Damian.

Depending on the bun's answer, or actions, though... This pride bun was pretty close to picking him up and carrying him somewhere properly private.

Asterix grinned, "I like your answer. You know how to treat a bun, huh?" Using his claw to trace the others jaw Asterix hummed, "Mhm, a fight even." A laugh, slowly getting up. "But I do have to make an appearance tonight or my boys may not be happy with me. One or two dances together and we can go play somewhere else." Asterix winked, offering a hand.

"Well? Are you ready?"

Damian wasn't entirely sure what was meant with 'making an appearance' and 'his boys,' but he wasn't going to let that lack of knowledge deter him in any way. The important thing here was that he was getting at least a dance with the bun and a promise of a reward of sorts. Worth.

"Ha, always~" He replied as he took the other bun's offered hand into his before heading towards the dance floor.

Asterix grinned, "I knew I liked you." A fact, following behind. It was time to dance and Asterix had been waiting for a fun partner.

"Once we're there, smile for any cameras." With that, they arrived. As a merciful bun he was, he allows Damian to lead for the night. Just for now.

Cameras? Can't say that was anything Damian had been expecting, but at the same time couldn't say it was something he minded. Didn't need to be told to smile for 'em, but the head's up was appreciated. They also better get his good side.

Now, was Damian a good dancer? Well that really did depend on the kind of dance. He was, however, incredibly confident in himself, his skills, and his dance partner. If ever he faltered for whatever reason, no he didn't, you didn't see it, it was all part of the dance.

Every side was Asterix good side, he thinks anyways. So the bun led Damian in the dance to prevent any bad pictures. Of himself anyways.

There was a couple of flashes for Angora's Gala in a magazine and some fans took photos on cellphones. Oh this will he fun.

"So, which bar will you taoe me too for some good food? I'm quite picky on places."

He wasn't going to lie; while Damian had danced with a fair amount of buns at the gala so far, the amount of attention he was getting by dancing together with Asterix? Oh, it was nice. Wouldn't mind keeping this up for a bit.

The pride bun hummed a little to himself at the question, though. "Any faves you'd like to go to? If not, I'm sure I can think of a few that're up your alley~" He replied with a small grin.

"Mmmm.... I like one in particular, the Glowing Rabebe. Nice foodband fun atmosphere." He smiles, "they have a loft too. So you can get a good veiw." Asterix was getting tired, having been dancing all night. With it showed as his movement slowed.

The Glowing Rabebe, huh? Damian had his own favourite bars, but he was pretty sure he went there at least once or twice. Either way, "If that's where you wish to go, then that's where we'll go~"

Damian did not miss the fact that Asterix's moves had become somewhat...sluggish over time. Hmm... "You ready to call it a night?" He asked. At the gala at least. Granted he wouldn't mind calling it a night altogether with the promise of another time.

"Mmm... Dancing yes, I'll call it. Maybe we can go get dinner now?" He hums, smiling. They didn't have to be at the gala to dance after all.

A small laugh and puff of smoke escaped past Damian's lips at the answer. While the dancing stopped, his hands still lingered a bit on the greed bun...before partially letting go. Still holding on in a way to lead the two of them out of the gala and potentially to their next destination. "Works for me."
