Sharing A Snack

“Chi…” Minim calls out in a hushed voice. “Chi…come out.” The bun was sat, legs crossed on the carpeted apartment floor, cheeked puffed in a childish sort of pout as she eyes the space beneath the couch. “Are you stuck?” They mumble, gently laying down on their side to peek into the nook their pet had suddenly decided to crawl into. It knew for a fact they saw the mischievous little rabebe scamper under there, but for what purpose exactly was yet to be seen.

“Chiii…” Minim calls out again. “I’m not going to eat you.” It says plainly, which was a true statement. After a dozen or so attempts and a few thorough explanations, Hutch had finally managed to, at the very least, convince the bun that imps would in fact not taste good at all. If she was entirely honest, that wouldn’t have stopped her from trying anyways had she had the stomach for it, but nevertheless she did make a promise to the poor Imporium owner, so she might as well keep it. Partially due to the fact they’re cute, but mostly because they wouldn’t have let her own an imp otherwise; and while the imps were definitely more than adorably cute enough to eat, Minim did have genuine intentions to keep one responsibly. For what it counts? It could be going way worse at the moment.

“Hmmm…” The bun pouts a little more, unable to really see anything beneath the depths of the couch. “If I share my snacks with you, will you come out?”

Pop! The faintest sight of a nose peeks out from the darkness, and two round white eyes finally make themselves seen soon after. Minim huffs a little. “If that’s all you wanted, you could’ve just asked.” They say, blowing a bit of air into the rabebe’s teeny tiny face. The imp dashes out from its hiding spot, clambering over her arms to climb its way up and into the nook between her bundled up ears. It snuggles itself into a comfortable position as Minim simply rolls her eyes. “Is Yaya with you too?” She sighs, rolling back up into an upright position. An odd clattering sound emanates from the kitchen as soon as the words leave her mouth. The bun squints down the hall towards the room, visibly unimpressed. “You’re so lucky I think you two are cuter to look at than eat.” They say as they get up and walk over to inspect the possible damages.

Crash! Another tin cookie cutter hits the ground with thunderous clatter, alongside about a handful of silverware. A jubilant sunny side egghell was wreaking absolute havoc amongst the cupboards as it clumsily rolled, hopped, and balanced along the edges of shelves and countertops. It was honestly quite the impressive athletic feat for a tiny imp, but alas, its journey ends here. Minim casually approaches the imp and immediately seizes it by snatching it up in one hand, the other giving the silly imp’s face a playful poke. “The kitchen is for eating, not playing.” They say, slightly opening their mouth with an “Aaah” sound as she threateningly inches the imp closer to her face. It wriggles a little in her hands before quickly shutting itself back into its shell, though by the time it reached the bun’s lips their mouth was already closed again, placing a soft kiss on the silly imp’s carapace instead. “Come on, let’s go eat something.”

Chi audibly titters at Yaya’s reaction, and the egghell quickly pops back out again with a mild huff. It jumps out of Minim’s hand to squeeze itself into a space besides Chi in the space between the bun’s ears, both imps apparently finding it a very cozy place to be. Minim pouts once again, giving both imps a little pat as they settle themselves below her chin. If it were up to her, she’d probably laze around more in her bun form when doing nothing at home. However, since gaining the responsibility of taking care of the imps and after they discovered how nice of a hammock her tied ears apparently are, she’s been finding herself in her doll form a lot more often. Who would’ve thought she’d be doing such a proper job of taking care of not one but two imps! Surely her friends would be proud, hell, her neighbors were certainly surprised the last time they found them happily tucked between her ears the last time they gave her apartment a check up. She’ll probably have to thank Hutch for giving her all the advice too, even if she wasn’t particularly listening to it. Oh well, all of that thinking can be saved for later. She reaches up to give Chi’s chin a light scratch. “Come on, I promised to share with you today.”

The crisp sounds of opening a potato chip bag was one of the apartment’s favorites. As soon as Minim had pulled the bag open, both imps jumped from their resting place to dive right inside of it without hesitation, inevitably spilling crumbs all across the dining table as the succubun looks on with mild amusement. “It’s not going anywhere, you can slow down.” It says, pushing through the two imps to grab a chip for herself. “If you make too much of a mess, I won’t share anymore.” That statement certainly seemed to convince them to slow down a little, albeit not that much. She smiles a little, watching the go back and forth over what piece was theirs and which were others, occasionally even offering up one for Minim themself; which they gladly accept, even if the chips were originally hers to begin with. Sometimes just watching the two silly imps gorge themselves was enough to make herself feel full, which was quite the strange sensation for the typically always hungry bun. Perhaps this is what being content means.

Grooooowl. Her stomach suddenly protests, and they let out a long sigh. What a silly thought, of course she’d never be content, that’s simply never meant to be... It looks back at the imps, still excitedly devouring the contents of the bag without the slightest hint of pause, and couldn’t help but crack the smallest sliver of a smile. Oh well, for now, she supposed this was perfectly fine. Perhaps she should look into buying proper food for the little guys, even if they didn’t quite require food like she did. Perhaps someone at one of her jobs, or maybe she’ll just have to pay Hutch yet another visit for a lesson she’ll likely only half listen to again. Either way, everything can wait for now.

Time to grab some more food.

Minim's apartment gets just a little bit more lively, but she thinks they're quite cute company actually.

They're still cute in the way that makes them wanna eat them but it's ok, they won't, they promised, and they like them too much to anyhow.
