[Gift] [Marshall]: Client Elias

Marshall looks his canvas up and down, tapping a finger to his lips. His canvas was a pretty enough man with a sweet charming smile, this wouldn’t be much of a hard case at all.

“Right well. We better get started.” he says with a nod, gently unclipping his box open and pulling out the drawers full of makeup. Elias walked over and sat down at the chair facing the brightly lit mirror, gently resting his hand on his chin. He smiled that charming smile of his.

“Do you ever smile…?” Elias asks with a soft laugh. Marshall barely even looks up, continuing to set up his makeup. “No.” he answers flatly, carefully counting to make sure all his brushes were in place. He turns to face Elias, a small bottle in his hand. Reaching forward, Marshall gently slaps away Elias’ hand resting on his chin. “Sit up straight.” he orders, squeezing some of the contents of the bottle onto his fingers. Elias laughs again, shaking his head slightly. “Why are you so uptight??” he asks coolly, yet he adjusts his position so that he frames the mirror. “I’m not uptight, I’m just… being professional over here.” he retorts, gently patting the liquid onto Elias’ face. “I was hired to fix you up, and fix you up I shall.” He continues to smoothen and even out the primer.

“What are you wearing tonight?”

Elias pulls his gaze lazily to the side. He points over to an outfit on a clothes rack nearby. “Hm.” Marshall lets out a thinking sound. “That’s easy to match…” Turning around, Marshall starts to rummage through the contents of his box, pulling out shimmers and blacks, and even a beautiful teal colored eyeshadow. Elias peers over curiously. “Ooo. I quite like that one.” he says in a friendly manner, pointing to the eyeshadow. Marshall nods. “It would make a nice contrast, if I do say so myself.” He pulls out two blushes and presents them to Elias. The other looks over and shrugs. “What’s the difference…?” he asks.

Marshall blinks in surprise. “What’s the difference…??” he repeats. “The difference, Elias, is that they are different colors. One is obviously orange, and one is very obviously red.” Elias gives a little stretch, looking up in thought. “Right, yes. Obviously. I was just testing you.” He picks the shade on the right, but Marshall continues looking down at the two colors, turning them over in his hand. He thinks for a bit before putting the right shade away and setting the left down. “Why’d you let me pick if you were just going to veto my decision!” Elias says with a laugh, nudging Marshall slightly. “Because-” Marshall says with a huff. “You made the wrong choice.”

Elias rolls his eyes playfully. Marshall has been doing his makeup, ever since he was still a novice model after all. Yet after all that time that had passed, he was still the same and Elias wouldn’t have it any other way.
